Class Coda

Once back in CA I got to working on the Waltham 12s a bit more.

I pulled out the mainspring barrel and removed the mainspring.

Filing the "hole" I punched in the mainspring during class took a long time.

After a long and slow effort I finally got the rough edges smoothed down to a degree that I thought might work. I also bent the end of the spring to maximize it's chances of catching correctly in the barrel arbor.

Reinstalled the mainspring in the barrel and reassembled.

Success!

I actually got this non-working watch to run and she's running great!
